It is an incredible honor to serve as the Executive Director, and I am grateful to the Board for the opportunity to guide the Maryville City Schools Foundation. It is humbling to lead an organization with a rich tradition of supporting students, teachers, and families while partnering with an excellent school system.
As a career educator from Alabama, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a teacher, coach, and administrator with multiple city school systems. I have also served and worked with various non-profit groups during my 25-year career. These past experiences will provide a solid framework to help lead the Foundation with its ongoing mission. My wife Kendall and son Logan are ready for this next adventure and look forward to becoming part of the Maryville community.
Debbie Green and her husband, Kevin, moved back to Maryville (both are alumni of Maryville College) after raising their family in Nashville. They have two children, both married, and one grandchild. Debbie is very passionate about public education and has always been aware of the financial challenges public schools are faced with each year while trying to provide the best environment and opportunity for each and every child. She has volunteered countless hours as PTO Treasurer, Fundraising Chair, and PTO Co-President while raising her family. When the opportunity to work for Maryville City Schools Foundation was offered, she was excited to be able to work within an environment in which she believes so strongly.
