Our History of Enriching Education

Since 1991, the Maryville City Schools Foundation has worked to enhance learning across the district by supporting programs and opportunities that help every student grow and succeed.

How It All Began

A Vision Rooted in Community Support

The Foundation was created in 1991 by community leaders who believed in the power of private support to strengthen public education. They saw that the district provided the essentials, but reaching new levels of excellence would require additional resources.

From the start, the Foundation has partnered closely with Maryville City Schools to fund innovative programs, classroom enhancements, and educational opportunities that might not have been possible through district budgets alone. This early vision set the foundation for a legacy that continues to shape classrooms today.

Growing Our Impact

Building Opportunities for Students and Teachers

As the district has grown, so has the Foundation’s role in enriching the educational experience for all students. Known as the “icing on the cake,” the Foundation supports projects that elevate learning across the district, including STEM labs, upgraded playgrounds, performing arts enhancements, and technology initiatives.

With the generosity of donors, alumni, and community partners, we invest in long term success and help students thrive in a changing world. Together, we celebrate the progress made and continue moving forward with purpose, vision, and a commitment to the future of Maryville students.

Help Us Continue This Legacy of Support

For more than three decades, community support has helped us enrich education across Maryville. Your contribution allows us to continue this work and create new opportunities for students and teachers.
