Rebel Run

A fundraising event for the Maryville City Schools Foundation.  Proceeds from the race will allow the Foundation to fund teacher-requested grants for technology, music, STEM, and innovation in the classroom.

Finishes on the 50 Yard line of Shields Field!

Date, Time & Place:  Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 9:00 am at Maryville High School.


9:00  am 5K Run
9:15  am 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
9:45  am 100 Yard Dash
10:00 am Awards Presentation

Shirts: Shirts guaranteed for all pre-registered 5k Fun Run participants.Others are first come, first served while supplies last.

Course : The course will begin on Lawrence Avenue in front of Maryville High School and end at the 50 yard line of Shields Stadium.

Refreshments: Refreshments will be provided following the race.

Mark your calendar for February 22, 2014!

The Starlight Awards Gala will be held at the Clayton Center for the Arts.

The Maryville City Schools Foundation will present its Starlight Awards to honor the alumni and friends of Maryville City Schools. The gala event honoring the 2013 award recipients will be on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Clayton Center for the Arts, Maryville, Tennessee.

The Foundation will recognize recipients in the following categories:

  • Distinguished Alumni Award is granted to Maryville High School graduates who have made distinguished or outstanding contributions to their professions or chosen fields of endeavor, or for distinguished human service to their community, state or nation.
  • Outstanding Young Alumni is granted to Maryville High School graduates, age 35 or younger when nominated, for significant accomplishments in their professions or chosen fields of endeavor or for distinguished human service to their community, state or nation.
  • Community Partnership is granted to a business that serves as a sustaining partner through financially supporting the Maryville City Schools and youth programs in our community.
  • Distinguished Service is granted to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to education in the City of Maryville. This award can be presented to alumni or non-alumni of Maryville High School.
  • Family Partnership Award is granted to a family or individual who exemplifies dedication to education in every aspect of their lives. Awardees deserve recognition for their spirit of giving not only financially but through their involvement with the students of Maryville City Schools.

The Foundation encourages public nominations.  Nomination forms must be emailed or postmarked by September 23, 2013 in order to be considered.
